Azaleas, laptops & red hair!

March 15th 2005 by cybertoad in images, re-caps

Whew – what a weekend! I got lots to re-cap so let me start…

Friday night: I didn’t feel like driving anywhere so I told friends to come over to our place instead. EJ brought over his posse, we ordered pizza and played Texas Hold ‘Em till the wee hours of the morning. Lesson learned: EJ’s daughter Gelli knows how to play poker a little too well for a 12-year old.

Saturday: Left the house around noon to run errands. Didn’t get most of them done since Kenny decided it was the day he was buying me my first laptop! Although we had very briefly touched upon the subject, I didn’t think it was going to happen so soon! We spent the rest of the day hopping between computer stores checking out and pricing models. Finally, at 8:30 PM I walked out of BestBuy with my new toy

Saturday night: Stayed up till 3 AM playing with the aforementioned new toy.

Sunday: Met up with our friends CJ & Susan for lunch and to hit the annual Azalea Trail together. The day was stunningly gorgeous, the skies blue and cloudless, the flowers brilliantly pink. My only complaint was that the sun was a tad too warm as we hit the 80’s (I was in jeans). I took a few pictures – my favorites which are below – and you can see the rest of the album here.

I had a hair appointment at 3:30 PM so I headed off to that on my own. I have been wanting to get red highlights in my hair for a while so I finally did it. They are much more red than auburn though and don’t look natural. I don’t think I’ll re-do the color but I’ll keep it in there for now. I guess I just feel they don’t look very professional. Most people seem to like it though. Click here for a grainy picture I took with my Palm Pilot. You can sort of see the red in there (and I wore a red shirt to commemorate the red hair).

Sunday night: After the hair appointment I met my mother for dinner and finally made my way home after a long day…

As you can see, I had a tiring but relatively productive weekend!
