Tiaras, sunburns & crawfish

April 6th 2005 by cybertoad in general, re-caps

I would have posted this sooner but work has had me swamped. I was up late last night finishing a presentation for my boss but at least it’s done. On to the weekend recap:

Friday night: We finally had another Tiara Happy Hour. Our last one was all the way back in December so it was long overdue. It was – as always – wonderful to see all my blogging lady friends as well as to meet new people including my co-worker’s friends. This was her first one so she brought a few of her friends too.

Saturday: I met up with Kathy & Tom at Hermann Park to check out the Japanese Festival. It was a beautiful day out with bright sunny blue skies. Sitting out in the sun made my neck red the next day (Tom and Kathy suffered too) but it was worth being outside. I left them after a couple of hours and headed out to meet Kenny and his co-worker for the Houston A&M Club’s Crawfish Boil. They had spent the morning playing golf and he was also red, almost as red as the crawfish. LOL. We ate over 12 pounds of crawfish among our group of five and it was very, very yummy!

Saturday night: Stayed home, watched TV including the season finale of Battlestar Galactica.

Sunday: Kenny ran his own errands while I hit a few gardening places, picked up some plants, some mulch and a trellis. Heidi even got a haircut so she isn’t shaggy anymore.

The house stayed messy and the bills went ignored. I’ve slowly tackled some of this stuff these past few days. Last night I tackled the dishes and the pile of mail on the counter. Tonight maybe I’ll do some laundry and tackle the filing in my office. Wish me luck!

we desperately need to give Ace a haircut…he is literally the shaggy dog. I’ll bet his weight will be cut by over half once we get him cut!
