Long time, no blog!
July 25th 2005 by cybertoad in general, re-capsWow! It’s been weeks and I apologize. As always, work has me swamped and this blog is getting left behind. I don’t want to abandon it I just can’t get in here on a regular basis anymore. That sucks. What has kept me occupied? Well, I can’t remember all the details but here are some of things I can remember…
My sister came for an overnight stay during her annual summer road trip to Seattle. We had a nice visit.
I went to New Jersey on my first business trip. It went really well.
I hosted a 4th of July/Birthday BBQ to celebrate the holiday as well as Kenny and EJ’s birthday.
We saw the Bugs Bunny Symphony – it was wonderful!
Rented a bunch of movies – and finally joined NetFlix after wasting so much money on late fees.
Watched some movies in the theater (War of the Worlds, Batman Begins and Charlie & the Chocolate Factory)
Our team won trivia night at the Flying Saucer.
Kenny quit his job and accepted a new job. His new company is in Washington state but they are going to have him set up a home office and work from Houston. He will travel once again and is looking forward to the new challenges. He will have to go up there for 4-6 weeks for training but we are going to try to send me up there for an extended weekend.
Oh, and the best news of all – found out I got a promotion at work!!! Yay!!!! I’ve become a manager finally and will be getting a raise!
That’s about it – at least the more important aspects of my life. We head out to Chicago on vacation in only a week and a half and I am really looking forward to it!!

Hi,
I was reading up on the winners of the Amazing Race and you wrote that they are neighbours of yours (I’m in Australia and the final episode just aired on 4th Aug 2005 – we’re abit behind here). I was wondering if you can give me their address because I’d really love to write to them. I’ve never done this kind of thing before but I really feel the need to write to them and wish them all the best. They just showed on TV what kind of good hearted people they are.
