Christmas has come & gone…

December 28th 2005 by cybertoad in general

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas weekend with family and friends. Kenny and I attended a Christmas Eve party at Chica Chic’s home (thanks for the invite) and Christmas itself was spent at our good friend’s home with his family. Turducken was consumed as well as lots of yummy desserts and Aggieopoly was played until late into the night.

Kenny and I exchanged gifts before heading out Christmas day and I raked in some nice loot: a bunch of CD’s, the “French Moodle” Cow Parade figurine (it was a Houston cow sponsored by Enron’s infamous famous Lay family and the last cow I wanted for my collection), a book on Texas that was on my wishlist and two more James Avery charms for my bracelet (flower pot & passport). I also got a purse and Clarks shoes but the purse was too small (it was exactly the one I had asked for but I just underestimated its size) so we returned it Monday afternoon and I got two nice pairs of shoes out of the deal.

My favorite gift though was the EcoSphere. I have been wanting one for a while so Kenny bought me the small pod. I have about 4 tiny shrimp in there – they are so cute! I need to find a better place for it though. It needs 6-8 hours of soft light – it can’t be in a window in direct sunlight nor can I bring it to work because my cubicle sits in too much darkness on the weekends. I have it on the shelf now in the living room but I want to be able to watch it more closely… :)

Kenny loved his cashmere sweater from Target (he wore it all weekend) and I also got him (well, us) tickets to go see Wicked in April. Overall it was a quiet weekend and it was hard to come back to work…
