Toad Tidbits

January 18th 2006 by cybertoad in general

Hi everyone! {wave} This poor blog is getting so neglected. Work is so time and energy consuming that any free time I have I stay away from the computer. I won’t bore with you weekend re-caps but I’ll give you tidbits on what’s been going on instead…

A couple of weekends ago I received some free tickets to the the Houston Symphony and saw a thoroughly enjoyable and lively show by Eileen Ivers and her band. They had so much energy! Thanks to Kathy for being my date!

Kenny has come and gone to Washington state for another week for work. He should be home for a while though now.

While Kenny was gone, I got sick. This is a rarity for me. My seasonal allergies do flare up occasionally with weather changes and at first I thought that it was just allergies but I became more miserable. I was never able to just stay home but I became an even greater couch potato than normal that week. I skipped my garden club meeting and my salsa class. My voice was also gone for 3 whole days. I was so hoarse and squeaky. I am still not 100% but almost there.

Week has been hectic. We are experiencing some very painful and stressful growing pains and things aren’t going as smoothly as they should be. We have a lot of pressure from the client (and rightly so) and it is affecting us all. Not fun, not fun at all. This past weekend I worked on both Saturday and Sunday.

Honestly things at home have been quiet. It’s just work and home, work and home. Nothing else new to post… Hope everyone is having a good start to 2006!

You sounded so sultry when you called me with your squeaky voice! :D We’re on for photohunting, just say when! (Well, and when the weather behaves for us.) As for SXSW, it is the same time as our spring breaks, so I have to figure out what the “guys” are doing that weekend.
