Happy Mardi Gras!

February 28th 2006 by cybertoad in general, re-caps

It’s Mardi Gras and another month has flown by… whoosh… so did my weekend…

Friday night: Headed out to The Ginger Man and met up with some fellow H-Town Bloggers. It had been a while since we had been social and it was wonderful to see both familiar faces and new faces. Afterward a handful of us were starving so we headed to Bibas for a late-night dinner (yummy calzone). Thanks to everyone who came out!!

Saturday: Our friend is overseas in the Middle East right now so we try to keep in touch with his wife and toddler. Saturday we met up with her and the baby for lunch. We had some good food and it was great to catch up. His son is such a wonderful little boy and really latched onto Kenny – he is obviously missing his Daddy who has been gone for 6 months. Hopefully he will be home sooner rather than later.

Saturday afternoon: The H-Town Blogs website needs a serious makeover so I met up with Sketkar who is the man behind the makeover to reiterate what needs to be done. He was at a WordPress meet at Cafe Artiste so we dropped by for a little bit and hung out with fellow bloggers once again…

Saturday night: Our neighbor was having a Mardi Gras party so we stopped by for a little bit to say hello and have a Hurricane or two.

Sunday: Headed off to Katie’s baby shower! She is looking beautiful!

Sunday evening: Tried to take a nap after the baby shower but my Mother called and wanted to stop by. She did so we went ahead and took her to dinner.

As you can see, it was a very busy weekend but it is what I needed. We have been slacking off on the social side of things and with the stress at work and its emotional affect on me, the distraction was nice. I hope all of you guys had a nice weekend as well!!

Likewise over here, but I plan to rest this weekend. We’re going to Broaddus & Michael is going to be hunting w/ my cousin so I am going to sit around and do nothing (except maybe homework) and visit with my Grannie & mother, whose b’day we’ll also be celebrating!
