Foto Friday: The Varsity
Last month I had the opportunity to go to Atlanta for a business trip. This was my 1st visit to the the city and although I had no time to actually site-see (I was in a 2-day workshop), I met another great conference attendee who had driven there and offered to take me to the airport when it ended.
I had scheduled a later flight out and had a few hours to spare so I joined her for an early lunch at the historical Varsity Drive-In (“The World’s Largest Drive-in Restaurant”). She always makes a point to stop here whenever she is in town, even if it is only a lay-over at the airport, she schedules enough time in between flights.
Some people say it’s just an over-rated greasy burger, others say it’s the best burger they’ve had (my husband is one of those). I thought it was pretty darn good and tasty and coupled with The Varsity’s nostalgic interior and counter clerks barking “What’ll ha have!”, it’s a required stop in Atlanta.
