The Basics:
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas and love it! It’s a great city with a lot of hidden spots to check out. And did you realize that it’s the 4th largest city in the United States? If you ever want to visit, I can tell you where to go. Check out these impressive facts about Houston.
My background is Cuban-American. Although I was born in Houston, my first language was still Spanish and I have continued to stay fluent.
I went to college at Texas A&M University in little old College Station where after 3 degree changes and 5 years I graduated with a B.A. in International Studies, Latin American Option in 1996. Several of my trips were made while at A&M through university sponsored programs – one of the best ways to get some traveling done at low costs while earning university credits.
I also married a computer engineer whom I met here in Houston in October 1998. His name is Kenny and happens to be an Aggie as well.
I am currently the Social Media Manager for two major restaurant brands based here in Houston. It’s dream come true for me having been a social media junkie since I started blogging back in 2001 and being an ealry adopter on Twitter, Facebook and now Pinterest.
Other Interests:
I am a photographer, salsa dancer, traveler, book lover, child of the ’80s, dog lover (especially rescues), loyal friend. I enjoy spending time with friends, going out to dinner, spending time with my husband and napping with our rescue dogs, Rosie and Pascal, both energetic mixed breeds!
