Dentist, Ninfa’s, yard work, a clean car…

So my trip to Louisiana went well but I was glad to get back home. Despite my Zyrtec, which has worked miracles here in Houston, the allergies attacked me out there and I woke up 100% congested at 5 AM Friday morning. I could not breathe through my nose. Stupid me had not brought my nasal spray so I suffered until 8 AM when I was finally able to get to a pharmacy and buy one. I made it through the rest of the day although still congested… here is the rest of the the weekend:

Friday night: I got home uneventfully and headed out the door to a salsa party being hosted by my teacher (Kenny was hanging with friends). When I finally got back home I took a long shower and sunk into bed.

Saturday: Kenny went ahead and came with me to the dentist and patiently waited (he had his PSP to entertain him). Afterward we had a wonderful lunch at the original Ninfa’s, found a couple of geocaches nearby, met my friends for bubble tea and headed to The Galleria to exchange a purse I bought last weekend (it was not going to work with all the stuff
I typically carry). Picked up some Vietnamese food to go for dinner and plopped on the couch the rest of the evening. We finally watched Syriana as well.

Sunday: We did not leave the house all day. We slept in, watched TV, and finally got off our butts to do some yard work. I washed & vacuumed my car (I can not remember the last time it had been washed so it’s been months) while Kenny weeded the front yard (I helped out too but he did most of it). The front yard still needs to some landscaping work but it will have to wait. I am thinking of using ornamental grasses on the side and trimming back some plants.

Now it’s Monday and I going through the paperwork on my desk that appeared while I was gone for two days. Nothing too major though! Plus, it’s going to be a beautiful day! If only I could be out there enjoying it!
