Random thoughts from a recent grocery shopping excursion…

> I always buy bananas in 3s. I will break a bunch up but won’t buy any more or any less. Don’t know why, I just do. {insert Monty Python’s Holy Hand Grenade joke here}

> I buy Gala or Braeburn apples only.

> I prefer red grapes to green, seedless of course!

> Yes, I still buy white bread. None of that whole grain stuff that’s healthy for you. Grilled cheese just isn’t the same on something other than white bread. At least they now offer whitewheat so I feel less guilty…

> I don’t like standard shaped pretzels – I like the sticks. I suck off the salt then eat them.

> I buy orange juice 95% of the time we grocery shop. It’s a staple in my fridge besides milk.

    JUICE! We always have a ton of juice in our fridge – usually a case of bottled water in the pantry, but always juice in the fridge. And I prefer red, seedless as well! We don’t always have bread on hand, but we always have tortillas! And I always buy cans of diced tomatoes and/or tomato sauce – I cook with that a lot!

    I really like buying things from the deli area. I don’t know if it is some longing for counter shouting matches in New York or the affinity for Michael Keaton’s confusion in Mr. Mom, but I like the deli counter.

    I tend to walk the whole store, even if I don’t need things from the whole store. Of course, I end up with too much that way.

    I prefer Galas. I like green grapes, not red. And pretzel sticks are yummy. Orange juice makes my stomach ache most of the time, so I’m not a big fan of it. And I’ll eat wheat bread, but the junky wheat, not the good ones with a zillion grains. I do like Kashi crackers though.

    I only buy fuji apples, we don’t use the plastic bags.. I have a thing for cheese and probably can’t get out of a grocery expedition without buying cheese.
